frightening comments from my mother
"i had someone come into the store today especially to find me and ask me to ask you if you'd like to be set up on a date with her son. he's a helicopter pilot."
i'm sort of afraid to ask what the hell kinds of conversations they had previously had to reach this point. and also how many people qualify as desperate in this scenario. because i have a sneaking suspicion it might be everyone.

Ok, so I'm a big nerd, and have read "For Better or For Worse" since I was about six. Currently the oldest daughter is dating a helicopter pilot, and if there is anything that I've learned from the 25 year old comic strip (except that its sad when a dog dies) is that helicopter pilots are flighty. (pun sort of intended)
I'm sure its due to the nature of their job. I mean, anyone that can land and take off in an area the size of a 8 parking spaces, will always have an easy out.
Of course, you'd have your own personal pilot to take you and your friends (read: tim and tim only) anywhere they wanted to go...
... you just watch your head!
