the chinese takeout dilemma

you have no other food in your house, and succumb to the temptations of quick, greasy food that someone else has prepared for you. you really enjoy the first half of your meal. you begin to reach a pleasant level of satiation. and then... the dilemma.

you still have half of the food left. it tastes fifty times worse the next day. it's far more expensive than it should be. so do you:

1) eat only what you want and throw the rest out

2) eat only what you want and try to eat the rest for lunch tomorrow and probably end up throwing it out anyways

3) try to eat as much as possible and then throw the remainder out because just looking at the nifty little rice carton makes your stomach protest

4) eat it ALL and spend the rest of the night miserable, having weird dreams wherein people wear silver moon boots (okay, that dream had nothing to do with chinese food. i suspect it might have had something to do with napoleon dynamite, but that's another matter)

5) eat as much as possible, then shake your fist at the heavens and scream, "why, god why?" for a while until you have enough room in your stomach to finish it

how do YOU solve the chinese takeout dilemma?

p.s. my fortune assures me that "with age comes wisdom." it is clearly mocking me.

Since my last fortune cookie told me "Your thoughts are highly valued by others" I feel I should say something here.

I eat what I can and then have the leftovers for lunch for the next 3 days.

...of course, my sister would have told that fortune cookie to "stop encouraging me"

i can usually stand reheated chinese food only one day. and it MUST be the day after you order it. otherwise, i go with the "leave it in your fridge without eating it until you have spawned a new species of mold." apparently tim is trying to save our chinese food from this stage.
