i like hershey's kisses. but, bad for you as they are, that's not the guilty part. oh no. the guilty part is much worse: the real reason i like hershey's kisses is that i like to play with the wrappers. you see where this is going, don't you? specifically, i enjoy shaping them into little tinfoil statues.

like this lovely homage to swan lake.* i'm going to go ahead and blame all the (mostly more normal) craft projects i did as a child and the shitload of research that i'm currrently avoiding. because this level of just plain strangeness clearly requires some sort of justification. it probably also explains my fascination with the weird art that other people post on the internet (you know, toast drawings and such). and why i'm online so much myself. there's an odd kind of zen to it, people, i promise. it's quite calming. that's probably why they have craft time in prisons and insane asylums.
like i've said before, sometimes i scare myself. let me ammend that: i often scare myself.
*i must point out here that the dancer does, in fact, stand up by herself. i'm not just freakish, i'm GOOD at it.

uh oh, if tim sees this he's going to start sculpting foil statues too. he already tends to fold up starburst wrappers into paper cranes. :)

I applaud your efforts both for its creative beauty as well as for its recycl-a-bility.
