pocket boy for president
yeah, so here's me already breaking my own rules. welcome to my life.
i didn't think anything would make me want to be back in texas this quickly, but the election has gone and done it. can't i be one of the anonymous masses whose vote doesn't really count? but no. i had to go and move to a battleground state in an election year. in the last four hours, i have had no less than three people call to harass me about voting. after 9pm. seriously, it's enough to make me abstain (courteously) out of sheer annoyance. or beat people with sticks. whatever. perhaps they're trying to browbeat me out of making an informed decision; it's really close to working. i may go vote tomorrow simply for an excuse to be bitchy at the telecampaigners.
that's probably not how the democratic process is supposed to work...
i must say, however, that the commercial with marilyn musgrave taking money out of a soldier's pocket while he's busy shooting the terrorists is quite priceless.
